Lovers Tarot Card Portal to the Stars

6 Lovers : Soul Mate, Choices

The Symbols and Meanings

Two flowers : the shapes symbolise the male and female shapes of the giver and the receiver of the seed : the male with the phallic point and the female as a cup-shaped flower. They have been painted in the red and white colours as reflective of a perfect symbiotic union of softness and power and the recognition that comes from finding your soul mate.   They are open and accepting of each other. Different coloured flowers are depicted on either side, female on the left and male on the right.

The Lovers card is two-fold. It indicates both a soul-mate partnership and the importance of making right choices. The male and female flowers have chosen each other out of a group of possible mates. The other flowers, while seeming to be rejected are still attractive in their own right, but have yet to find the right partnership. While the cards have been painted in gender-specific symbolic shapes, they represent the yin and yang of balance in any good relationship: that there must be give and take and that the perception of power plays needs to be understood.

In a Reading

One of the most important decisions we make in our lives is the commitment to our life’s mate. Who do we choose to spend our lives with, to go through the hard times, to celebrate the good and sometimes stand together against the crowd? The Lovers card tells us that an important choice has to be made for life’s best outcome.

The Lovers card is not restricted to relationships, although it is the main intent. At any time there is a choice, whether it be a job,  a place to live being a home or location.....anything we search for the right fit for us.

The Challenges of the Lovers card

When we procrastinate, can't make a decision, opportunities can be lost. To choose without knowing yourself well enough to know what you want or to choose based on another's opinion rather than your own.
